Most people I know is a big picture synthesis of the interconnected climate, nature, health and economic crises we face, where we are, the key forces that frustrate progress and a unifying call to action for all of us.
Around October 2023, I started down a path of learning about the climate crisis. The more I read, heard and saw, the more I realised I didn’t know and the deeper I went. I kept thinking, does everyone else already know this? If so, why are we all acting so normally? Why are we not more alarmed, vocal and active?
To help me make sense of it all I started writing. In April 2024 I launched a new Substack series starting with an open letter to the people I know. It is the candid big picture synthesis I wish I had sooner. It is my attempt to cut through the noise with a trusted voice and to move closer to a shared reality as a basis for conversation and action. It is essential reading for all of us, and especially for anyone in a leadership position.
It would mean a lot to me if you would read it and let me know what you think. What is new for you? What did I miss or get wrong? How are you grappling with these topics? What more can we do together?
